CALIBRATION / MAINTENANCE
  1.1-What is Calibration?

To maximise your bill acceptors’ performance at all time, calibration is encouraged under certain circumstances, which helps on adjusting the performance of optical sensors and LEDs.

1.2-When is it necessary to calibrate?

It is best to calibrate if :
  • Acceptance rate degrades
  • Firmware update for a different currency

1.3-How do I calibrate my Bill Acceptor? (ICT TEST TOOL)

ICT has developed a comprehensive test tool for its bill acceptors, so called “ICT TEST TOOL”.
This Tool performs a series of basic maintenances that help a Bill Acceptor to secure optimal condition during its operation. Please note, calibration is one of the maintenances that can be conducted by this tool.

1.4-What Calibration card should I use?

Each type of bill acceptors has its own assigned calibration card; using any other hand-made or regular paper for calibration is unacceptable.
Therefore, customers are advised to use the calibration card enclosed in the download box (FP-001) only, when calibrating.

1.5-Where can I get the calibration card?

Calibration cards should be enclosed along with the purchase of download box (FP-001).
If not, please contact your local sales distributor or representative.

1.6-How often should a bill acceptor be maintained?

ICT recommends customers to clean their bill acceptors by having a soft cloth moistened with mild, non-abrasive and non-alcohol contained detergent at least every 4 months.
LED and SENSOR housings are the prior components to be cleaned, thus to maintain proper performance of bill acceptors.
